Prove your idea or work existed first
Waipal creates a digital fingerprint of your file and records it on the blockchain. You'll receive a certificate that can serve as supporting proof of the existence and ownership of your document at a specific point in time.
Why you need it
Your idea existed before others saw it. Can you prove it?
Copyright exists from the moment a work is created – but being able to prove exactly when your work existed can be crucial in a dispute, business negotiation, or when sharing a proposal with a client or investor.
Waipal helps you create a digital footprint: an irrefutable record proving that a specific file existed in a specific form at a specific point in time. The record is stored on the blockchain – a technology that ensures it cannot be retroactively modified or deleted.

The whole process takes just a few minutes. No complex administration.

Waipal creates a digital fingerprint
The system generates a unique digital fingerprint (hash) of your file. This fingerprint represents the exact form of your document.
The fingerprint is recorded on the blockchain
The digital fingerprint is written to the blockchain as an immutable timestamp. This step cannot be undone or modified.
You receive a certificate
You'll receive a certificate containing all the information needed for verification – date, time, digital fingerprint and blockchain identifier.
Service output
What the certificate contains and what it's for
The certificate is digital confirmation that a specific file existed in a specific form at a specific point in time. It can be verified at any time and submitted as supporting evidence.
-
Date and time of record – exact timestamp of the blockchain entry
-
Digital fingerprint of the file – unique hash identifying the exact form of the document
-
Blockchain record identifier – link to the specific record on the blockchain
-
File information – name or description of the document entered at creation
-
Owner information – name or entity of the certificate creator, including their identifying data (email)
-
Verification option – the certificate can be re-verified at any time to confirm its authenticity
The certificate can serve as supporting evidence when proving the existence, form or ownership of a document. It is not a substitute for legal protection, but helps establish key facts.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about IP protection
No. The Waipal certificate does not serve as a legal copyright protection tool, but as proof that a specific file existed in a specific form at a given date. It can serve as supporting evidence in a dispute, but does not replace legal protection.
Any modification to the file will produce a different digital fingerprint (hash). This is why it is important to create the certificate before sharing or publishing your work. The original certificate remains valid for the original version of the file.
The certificate can be verified on the Waipal verification page by entering the unique identifier or uploading the certificate. The blockchain record is publicly verifiable at any point in the future.
Waipal supports the protection of any digital file — documents, images, videos, audio recordings, source code, designs and more. There is no restriction on file format.
